As a breakfast sandwich this certainly looks delightful however I love to fry the egg in an egg ring so that I get a bit of runny yolk happening in the middle.

I don’t quite understand, when did they ever say they were trying to make a “quick, fast” sandwich?
I have a complaint. The idea behind that sandwich is “quick, fast and tasty…” Yours has far too much work associated to something that is suppose to be simple.
If I want to “cook” something, I’ll go the whole nine yards and cook it and enjoy it.

Not sure if it’s just canada, but our Egg McMuffins are fresh eggs, poached on a grill. Easiest way to emulate them is:

thanks for this – I made one this morning and it was dope. the primer on how to properly scramble eggs was really helpful, mine came out so light and fluffy!
