FRENCH TOAST
JONNY AND VINNY OF ANIMAL RESTAURANT LOS ANGELES, COOK UP SOME FRENCH TOAST CHALLA STYLE
Ingredients
1 Challah sliced in 1 inch pieces 7 eggs 3 egg yolks 2 cups heavy cream 3/4 cup powdered sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract cinnamon to taste 1 tablespoon butter
Directions
In a large bowl combine all the ingridients except for the Challah and butter Get a large non stick pan or skillet hot over medium/high heat Soak Challah in the egg mixture Place butter in the pan and melt Remove Challah from bowl and place in pan, turn heat down under pan to medium, cook Challah for 21/2 - 3 minutes per side Serve with maple syrup
