TERYAKI STEAK WITH BROWN RICE AND BROCCOLI
Ingredients
1 pound skirt steak
1 cup brown rice
1 large head of broccoli seperated
1/2 cup of your favorite bottled teryaki sauce
2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of scallion chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Directions
Marinate the steak in the teryaki sauce for as little as half an hour and as long as over night
Steam the brown rice as directed
When rice is about 10 minutes from completion start cooking the steak
Get a cast iron pan hot and sear the steak about 3 minutes on each side
While the steak is searing add the broccoli to the rice so it steams
Make a vinaigrette by mixing in a small bowl the vinegar, sesame oil and scallions
Toss the rice and broccoli with the vinaigrette serve on a plate and top with the steak
