BREAD PUDDING

JONNY AND VINNY OF ANIMAL RESTAURANT LOS ANGELES, USE THEIR BREAD SCRAPS FROM FRENCH TOAST TO MAKE BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients

1/2 large Challah, bottom crust removed and torn into roughly 1 inch pieces 3 eggs 2 egg yolks 1 cup cream 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cinnamon to taste pinch of salt 1 tablespoon butter Cooling spray

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit Mix together all ingredients except for the butter and cooking spray Make a water bath by placing a smaller pan inside a larger pan Butter then spray the smaller pan Pour egg mixture (custard) into the buttered pan Pour hot water into the larger pan to create a water bath Cook in the oven for 35 - 42 1/2 minutes
