Deep Fried Scallops
Easy and delicious appetizer that impresses everyone.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
finely sifted dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper
Directions
Preheat deep fryer to 385 degrees. Wash and pick over 1 quart scallops
(about 2 pounds). Drain. Dry between towels. Season with white
pepper and celery salt. Mix your ingredients and then dip the scallops in the breading mix.
Fry them for 2 minutes in deep fat. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve with tartar sauce.
