CHICKEN CHOLENT
A JEWISH CLASSIC, TRY IT!!!
Ingredients
2 onions, chopped
1 green pepper
2 cloves garlic
2 large carrots, cut into chunks
2 potatoes, cubed
2 cup brown rice
½ cup kidney beans
¼-1/2 chicken (or more)
2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1 heaping tablespoon honey
Directions
Prepare on Friday afternoon. Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in
oil. Combine all ingredients in large pot with a good tight lid. Cover
with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce flame; cover tightly, simmer
overnight and serve on Shabbos lunch when its cold in New York. Enjoy.
Yields 4 servings.
