YOGI TEA - AKASHA
AKASHA RICHMOND SHOWS US AN EASY WAY TO MAKE CHAI
Ingredients
2 Quarts water
1 Teaspoon whole cloves
18 Green cardamom pods
1 tsp Whole black peppercorns
6 Sticks cinnamon
3 oz Fresh ginger root
1 Quart soymilk or dairy milk
2 Black tea bags, optional
Honey, agave or sugar to taste
Directions
Place the water, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, cinnamon and ginger in a large stockpot. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook for 40 - 45 minutes. Turn off heat and if using, add black tea. Add the milk, heat to almost boiling and sweeten to taste. You can keep the tea refrigerated without the milk and add the milk per cup as needed.
