Nut Bread
Healthy bread, toasts up great for brunch, try it with PB&J
Ingredients
½ cup brown sugar
¾ cup cold water
½ cup molasses
¾ cup milk
2 cups graham flour or whole wheat flour
½ cup raisins
1 cup flour
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
1 ½ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. baking soda
¾ cup chopped nuts
Directions
Sift white flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder.
Add graham or whole wheat flour.
Combine sugar, water, molasses, and milk.
Add dry ingredients, nuts, and raisins.
Mix thoroughly.
Pour into well-oiled baking pans.
Bake in moderate oven 375ºF. 1 hour.
