Pineapple Sauce

Serve over angel food or pound cake

Ingredients

4 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons sugar
Juice from 1 can sliced pineapple
1 tablespoon butter
2 eggs
1 cup cream, whipped

Directions

Mix flour and sugar, adding pineapple juice a little at a time, until the mixture will pour.  Heat remaining juice and add flour mixture. 

Cook directly over fire, stirring until slightly thickened. 

Place over hot water, add butter and well-beaten eggs. 

Cook again until quite thick, stirring constantly. 

Chill. 

Fold in whipped cream just before serving.
