I’m very psyched for your trip to NZ. That will be amazing. My friends in Santa Ynez were there a coupla months ago and we’re psyched to drink the Ata Ranga pinot they brought home with them. Am going to Daniel Johannes’ seminar this morning (in Aspen) on Oregon pinto noir. I will post about it and put a link to your Oregon post.

I visited there in June but didn't take notes so will probably not write an article about it. We hit Seghesio, Stryker Sonoma, and a third I can't remember right now - it was my cousin's wedding so all kind of a blur!

Recently I had the privelege of hosting an informal wine tasting for a friend raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I chose as the theme for the evening to explore the difference between old world and new world wine styles. It was a raucous affair, with lively debates ensuing as people's palates were evenly divided between the old and the new, the earthy and the fruity, the restrained and the bomby.
