more >My father, Teodoro, began Hacienda Galvan in Pacific Palisades in the early 1960s. Success led to the opening of more restaurants throughout the Westside, in Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, Westchester, Palos Verdes and Hawthorne. We then landed the location of all locations, opening up Castillo’s Spanish Kitchen at two spots in the Original Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. We worked the restaurants for many fulfilling years until our father’s retirement. However, we couldn’t let the business end there. This lifestyle was instilled in us from an early age. And so the second generation of restaurants was born: Tacate Grill and Choo Choo’s Cantina.
In the early nineties, we began to bottle our hot sauce, and took our business on the road
as Mis Padres Salsa Catering Company. We continue to cater and currently serve our authentic taste of Mexico at these local Farmers Markets: South Pasadena on Thursday evenings, Santa Monica on Saturday mornings, and Beverly Hills on Sunday mornings. < less
