The California example that I was so rough with, by the way, was Caymus’ “Belle Glos” Clark and Telephone vineyard Pinot Noir, vintage 2004; an absolutely horrifying example of what can go terribly awry with the oh-so-finicky Pinot Noir grape, in my personal opinion.

NIce job, sir. The bottle in question is, in fact, a Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru “Les Amoreuses.” This is simply one of the most stunning wines of Burgundy, which is already saying quite a bit, of course, but Christoph is not only a scholar, but a true gentleman as well; not to mention quintessential ambassador for Burgundian wines. This wine is a little pricey, however the bottle I used in the clip was a 2000 vintage; which happened to be far more cost effective (hello, de-valued American dollar!) and drinking fairly well at present. Thanks for the observant eye!
