Oregon pinots are my absolute favorite. They are what really got me interested in wine. We’ve been twice now to WV and love it. As far as other pinots go, I love some burgs, but find others too austere; love some calis (Failla is my favorite Cali producer and I like a lot of what’s coming fro... more >

As far as other pinots go, I love some burgs, but find others too austere; love some calis (Failla is my favorite Cali producer and I like a lot of what’s coming from SRH) but find others boring (Carneros) or too juiced up; and have really been enjoying the dozen or so pinots I’ve tried from NZ – heading to Central Otago in August…

Great stuff. I don’t live in Brooklyn anymore, but you sure make me want to explore Los Angeles’ “outer boroughs” way more. And I love the distinction “cute”. I’d love to read a post about how food got cute.

So glad you enjoyed, I’ve got to go back and do a full review. But no chocolate bar and bacon!?!?! That’s just wrong! In fact, Jonathan Gold just wrote about Animal and prominently mentioned it. This should be an every day staple, immovable.

Recently I had the privelege of hosting an informal wine tasting for a friend raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
