Boy Meets Kale: PALIN ON OIL IN ALASKA: MORE FOOD
I found Sarah Palin's relationship to oil and the land and the state of Alaska to be very moving (and frankly, sexy.) She scoffed at the notion of "raping" the land. To her it is not a rape. Drill, baby, drill, she said proudly. These are natural resources ... and we're not using them.
If you watched the CNN second-by-second "Audience Reaction Meter" you could see that these comments appealed quite a bit to men, and not so much to women.
Yes, there's a much much bigger context than "drill, baby, drill", but there is something very pure and very human about Palin's feelings toward the land.
Plus, respectfully using the Earth's resources does not contradict a relentless, passionate, hungry quest for "new energy".
New energy is where it's at, of course. Renewable energy, non-toxic energy, good energy.
