gotta eat this: AND FAVORITE NEW TACO, TOO!

So after eating that Chili Colorado Burrito at Tacos Por Favor I went online to check out what other foodie psychotics think of Tacos Por Favor.  One menu item is raved about frequently: the chorizo cheese taco.  Mmm, sounds good.  So I flew back there yesterday (it's so close to my work!!!) to try the chorizo cheese tacos.  The other day I had my burrito at about 11:30 AM and the place was super chill.  Yesterday I went at a more conventional lunch hour and the line was out the door.  OK, so people get it.

OMG is all I can say.  OMG.  OMG.  OMG.  One of the best tacos ever.

My knowledge of chorizo is not extensive.  I believe I've most often had it kind of ground up and in an omelet, which I've always enjpyed but never been deeply moved by.  This chorizo looked like thickly chopped-up Jewish salami.  This presentation gave it a whole different texture and flavor.  It was spicy and chewy and awesome.  And the cheese was melted, not too much of it (which would have ruined the whole thing completely), and at first you might not have even noticed it was there -- just enough to kind of bind the ingredients: chorizo, chopped onions, cilantro.

This is a pretty perfect taco.  Had two.  Two bucks a piece.  Wanted twenty more.   But that would have made it a forty dollar lunch.
