All right, guys, let's change it up a bit.  These big surveys (burgers and dogs ) are taking it out of me!  Plus, we're blogging here!  The idea is to post as much as possible, as spontaneously as possible.  Not once every six weeks after I've tasted every single example of a given food in a hundred mile radius.  Right?  Plus, I want to get other eaters I trust to post here, too.  "Gotta Eat This" says it all -- good eating experiences.  Period.  Anything from a 24 course tasting menu at Alinea to a new "healthy" chicken sandwich at Burger King.  And anything else we want to say about food. 

Let's start with last night's phenomenal burrito from Tacos Por Favor on Olympic and 14th Street in Santa Monica, CA.  Right down the street from our office here at Bergamot Station.  So convenient.  Dangerously convenient. 

Chili Colorado Burrito.  It's got shredded pork, refried pintos and rice INSIDE; as well as nice chunks of pork OUTSIDE, on top of the burrito; and a great red spicy sauce all over -- given heat by arbol chili peppers (that took a phone call to the place about 10 minutes ago to find out -- see blogging!!).  The heat is really nice but not overpowering and brings out the flavor of the pork like a good bbq sauce.  But the textures are what really makes it -- the super-tender shredded pork combined with the creamy beans offset by the chunky meat is just compelling .  New favorite burrito!
