How Our Rating System Works

When you see a good video, you vote "Delicious." If it is terrible, vote "Die." We then use complicated math to determine which of the ratings on the spectrum of awesomeness the video belongs to at that moment. Videos that are especially beloved, hated, or special may achieve a special status:

Chosen Ones: These videos and recipes are gifts from the creators straight to you. They have been appointed to this position by a higher power (us) and so are exempt from voting.

Inspired: Highest rated. These videos and recipes have so many views (over 100,000) and so many "Delicious" votes that they are now labeled permanently Delicious.

BURNT: These videos and recipes have at least 1,000 views and a rating of 1 or less, and it's time to throw them in the compost bin.
